AbstractWith scientific and technological progress and development, the number of models of sports disciplines will be more and more work. Because the use of operations research and statistics, theory and method, relying on strict mathematical logic, as long as sufficient information, data reliability, model ft, solving method is accurate, the conclusions obtained on the scientific doubt. Number of models in sports disciplines in the successful application of a combination of theory and practice of the process, the theory is proven scientific theories, ad similarly, the number of well-proven model is the number of scientific models

Yellow Head Virus: Transmission and Genome Analyses

    Get PDF
Yellow head virus (YHV) is an important pathogen to shrimp aquaculture. Among 13 species of naturally YHV-negative crustaceans in the Mississippi coastal area, the daggerblade grass shrimp, Palaemonetes pugio, and the blue crab, Callinectes sapidus, were tested for potential reservoir and carrier hosts of YHV using PCR and real time PCR. The YHV replicated in the daggerblade grass shrimp, and was still detectable on 36 d post-inoculation, causing 8% mortality after injection. However, YHV did not replicate in the blue crab. These data suggest that the daggerblade grass shrimp could act as a reservoir host for YHV. Storage conditions of hemolymph samples containing YHV may result in a decline of virus or exhibit false-negative results in viral detection. The YHV-positive hemolymph was stored at either 4 or 25 °C for a 6-d period, the viral load number at 4 °C was not significantly different from that stored at 25 °C. The only difference was between the samples stored for 6-d at either 4 or 25 °C and those stored at -80 °C, suggesting that shrimp hemolymph can be stored at either 4 or 25 °C for 3-5 d without a significant reduction in measured YHV RNA levels. The whole genome of 3 isolates in Penaeus monodon obtained from Thailand in 1992, 1995, and 1999 was sequenced. The only indel event in the coding region was located in the 5\u27 end of ORFla, containing a segment of 12 nt. Other indels occurred in the non-coding region. The 3\u27 untranslated region (UTR) forms a putative pseudoknot with an octonucleotide motif being the counterpart in the 3\u27 UTR of Coronavims. The phytogeny of Nidovirales was reconstructed based on 48 nidovirus proteome sequences, demonstrating a consistency with the contemporary phytogeny. Recombination in RNA viruses plays a major role in virus diversity and evolution. Seven recombination events were detected among the 4 YHV genomes with high statistical support. The divergence times for the most recent common ancestor of the YHV lineage were dated back to 1970-1980s based on 3 recombination-free data sets. These values were consistent with shrimp culture practice in Asia

THE DOWNPLAYED DEBT ATTRIBUTES OF BNPL: A THEMATIC CONTENT ANALYSIS OF TIKTOK

    Get PDF
This research employs Thematic Content Analysis (TCA) to examine the downplayed debt attributes of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services, focusing specifically on the contrast between official narratives and critical discourse on TikTok. The study investigates how BNPL companies in North America employ promotional strategies on their official websites and in press conferences to downplay the debt aspect of their services. It further explores the role of TikTok as a platform for public discourse that challenges these dominant narratives surrounding BNPL debt attributes and breaks knowledge hegemony. By analyzing samples from BNPL service providers\u27 websites and press conferences, the study identifies the strategies used to control official discourse and shape public perception. Additionally, it analyzes TikTok videos under relevant hashtags to understand how influencers critically evaluate BNPL services and employ counter-discursive strategies. The findings highlight the hidden intentions of BNPL services in North America, questioning whether they offer free money or intentionally designed debt traps. The study also reveals the burden-shifting phenomenon, exposing the misplaced responsibility within BNPL services. Furthermore, it explores the potential of the BNPL phenomenon to facilitate overspending and expand risky consumer finance that may lead to a personal debt crisis. This research contributes to the understanding of the political economy of communication, consumer finance, and media studies by shedding light on the power dynamics, dominant narratives, and knowledge hegemony surrounding BNPL services in North America. The insights have implications for policymakers, consumers, and scholars, providing valuable perspectives on the discourse surrounding BNPL and its implications for society

Collaboratively Assessing Information Quality on the Web

    Get PDF
The Web has become a large repository of information with varying qualities. Many users often consume information without knowing its quality. Although automatic methods can be used to obtain measurements of certain aspects of quality, they are not reliable and cannot measure all aspects of quality. Users can detect errors and reliably assess aspects of quality that cannot be measured by automatic methods. However, there is a lack of technology support for users to record and share their feedback. This research aims to develop technologies to allow users to collaboratively assess information quality on the Web. The solution combines the capabilities of machines and humans to obtain comprehensive, reliable, and scalable measurements of information quality. In this paper, the crucial user interaction component of the solution is presented. It uses a browser plug-in to allow users to rate and annotate any Web page and share ratings and annotations with other users

Shape Hessian for generalized Oseen flow by differentiability of a minimax: A Lagrangian approach

    Get PDF
summary:The goal of this paper is to compute the shape Hessian for a generalized Oseen problem with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition by the velocity method. The incompressibility will be treated by penalty approach. The structure of the shape gradient and shape Hessian with respect to the shape of the variable domain for a given cost functional are established by an application of the Lagrangian method with function space embedding technique
